Muscat of Alexandria, or Zibbibo (Italy) is about as ancient a grape as it’s possible to get - long before the Romans were enjoying this white wine, the Greeks and Pharaohs of Egypt were sipping it in the great port city of Alexandria. Today, it’s primarily used for fortified, sweet wines, as well as brandy.
